The Early Learning Preschool Curriculum
The Early Learning Curriculum Preschool Lesson Plans & Materials available on this site provide a mulit-sensory, developmentally appropriate method of teaching young children many skills including the alphabet letters, literacy skills, colors, numbers and shapes. The curriculum consists of 41 units of weekly lesson plans that provide suggestions for Cognitive, Language, Art, Fine Motor, Gross Motor and Social Activities for every day of the week. Science, Music, Dramatic Play, Computer, Cooking and many more activities are all included. The lesson plans can be used as is or can be easily adapted to meet the needs of individual children.
The Early Learning Preschool Curriculum was developed by Tracy Trombetta, the owner and Executive Director of the Step By Step Inc. for use in the Step By Step Early Care & Education programs. Ms Trombetta holds degrees and teacher certification in Elementary and Special Education and has been working in the field of Education since 1981. Step By Step Inc. was founded by Ms. Trombetta and has been providing quality Early Care & Education programs for children 6 weeks to 10 years old since 1993. The mission statement of the programs is to provide every child an opportunity to grow and learn to their maximum potential in a warm and loving environment. All five of the Step By Step programs are fully licensed as Day Care Centers. Three of the centers provide programs for pre-school aged children including part-day State Board of Education Pre-K programs and full day - full care partnerships with Head Start. The collection of curriculum materials on this site were developed over several years for use in all of the Step By Step Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten classrooms. The lesson plans and materials can be used as is or they can be added to - to meet the individual needs and interests of any group of preschool children.
